Kiss on the forehead (KOTF)

During our three-weeks on Friday night dinner ritual, my ex-housemate, K and I talked about this ‘no-added value’ book I was reading calls “He’s Just Not That Into You” by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. (This book is such a waste of money. Please don’t buy it. Just borrow it from me.)

Anyway the book lead us to this. K told me about one of her best-friend’s new theory about getting a kiss on the forehead. She insisted that it is not sweet nor meaningful like what it seems like on TV. According to her, it means: “No, I’m not going to kiss you anywhere else, honey,” sort of kiss, she said. Basically, the boy is just not that into the girl. Her argument was, if he really likes her, why forehead?

Before K heard about this, she and I share the same sentiment that KOTF means something deeper and gentler. Then maybe we both watched too many Asian soap dramas during our uni year. But is it? Does KOTF really mean the guy isn’t that into us?

Do tell.

yay! I'm so happy I'm not the only one who hates he's just not that into you!!! well, i didn't read the book but i saw the movie... waste of money and time!!!! it's better for me to see a chick flick/romatic movies that I know they're just a fiction than watching this movie that telling people the "truth" about relationship but actually worse than any romantic movies... i dont know why some girls are so wrapped up with the idea of how guys should & shouldn't behave... i'm just not that into fake romantic hollywood movies anymore...

haha.. yeah, the book is just the same. a bit pointless, don't you think? to be fair, some 'COULD' make sense, the one that we shouldn't be obsessing over guys.. but the rest? hehe such a waste. i just don't think the male population is that simple.

i never read the book nor watch the movie... i did not even know that thing ever exists so i had no idea of what it is all about hehehe btw talking about kiss on the forehead, i think we cant really generalise what the meaning of kiss on the forehead... example, holding your fingers meaning more something than your palm? embrace your shoulder meaning more something than your waist? i dont think it is absolute like X = Y, there are many other variables involved on what kiss on the forehead means. Just like when you do equity valuation, many variables involved rite? hehehe
Anyway, i like the idea 'KOTF', so catchy, and good for marketing purpose i believe hoho

Me too, not interested that much in reading a book regarding such topic. Hahaha too many drama already in my real-life experiences plus that book/movie will only make me even more "parno" on finding "the" guy rather than being calm and just leaving it all to God.

Anywaaayy, it is hard to tell what is the meaning of KOTF. But often in my case, KOTF is a sign that the guy is in a hurry hahahaa altough there are moments when i can sense that KOTF means he's THAT into you :)
