Read this surveys in Jakarta Post today. Will get the link once it is uploaded in their web.
Funny enough, the expats they interviewed sort of contradicting the result surveys.

Second worst? Even worse than mumbai? geez, i know Jakarta is ugly but compared to Mumbai? My mum went to Mumbai several years ago and she caught diarrhea from drinking mineral water in a five star hotel. She lost like, 5 kilos by the time she got back to Jakarta. And it's a dirty city.
My partners went to vietnam for a global partners meeting and they came back with hundreds and thousands of praises on Jakarta for being so modern compared to ho chi minh city. They said it was like seeing Jakarta back on 1993.
What parameter are they using for this survey anyway? Those ungrateful expats, sashaying around our countless expensive clubs and five star hotels, spending their billions, enjoying luxuries they cant afford back home (having babysitter, driver, expensive condos not less than pakubuwono residence etc). And they have the guts to say we are lower than Mumbai? They dont even have LV flagship store in Mumbai?? How dare???
Ahahahhahaaaaa :)
Yeah, those expats just need to go home to their own countries for being so ungrateful haha.
OH, these people they interviewed are from the US, Canada and West Europe. I suspected that they may never been to any of those 10 cities. Do they even know where it is? (refering to the lack of geographical knowledge of American, of course)
*as for your comment on LV flagship store in Mumbai (or the non-existence of it) I want to add that there's no DVF store in SINGAPORE. Exactly why we need to be the most desired countries for expats hahahaaha
